Great find. Was just looking around for something different and passed this place. Little bit of a wait but WORTH IT. Broasted chicken great flavor, Greens done right, and the seasoned potatoes awesome.
But cook was working on a new dish and asked me to taste some red beans and rice. DANG it was good. Right amount of spice, crazy good flavor. YOU MUST PUT OT ON THE MENU

Came in 15mins before closing and even though I could tell the gals behind the counter weren't thrilled they still made one hell of a sandwich! I ordered the fried chicken sammy and the catfish poboy
This place is inexpensive and completely worth stopping into for a snack! -

I came here once because a coworker recommended it. I had a very mixed experience and review.
FOOD
The shrimp po' boy was delicious but smaller than I expected--about the size of a six inch sub. The mac and cheese was super greasy--it was so bad that there was an ounce of liquid grease in the bottom of the cup. Fried okra was great--crunchy and crispy but not greasy. The garlic hot sauce was even better. I wouldn't try the mac & cheese again but I might come back for more fried okra and gator bites.
SERVICE:
I ordered online and the cashier knew which order was mine as soon as I walked in. I guess there are few people with Eastern European names ordering soul food. The worst part was when the cashier played the stupid joke of pretending to overcharge me. "That'll be $68" and smiled, even though she knew I already paid the $20 bill online. Not funny at all. Also, my phone number was added to their text message distribution list even though I never give permission. -

What happened?! You guys had improved and we were pleased to order from you. We ordered today and paid in advance, only to be charged again upon pick up. The catfish was like nuggets of fish, not whole fillets and there is no way what we received was a pound of fish. The shrimp was overcooked. So disappointed, customer service was not good, failed at every opportunity to satisfy a loyal customer.

Order the catfish and shrimp combo. Fries, fish, and shrimp were all under cooked. Parts of the the fish was cooked throughly other parts not so much. Fries were soggy and shrimp was also undercooked. Unfortunately I couldn't go back to have my food refried because I was on lunch and didn't realize the food wasn't fully cooked until I got back to work
